How to choose the most suitable pressure gauge ?2018-05-08

Suitable pressure gauges will be chosen according to the environment and the measuring medium:

1. In the environment with strong atmospheric corrosion, more dust and liquid sprays, we should choose the suitable case materials and protection level according to the environmental conditions.

2. Measurement of general medium.

  (1) When the pressure is between -40Kpa~ +40Kpa, the capsule pressure gauge should be selected.

  (2) When the pressure is above +40Kpa, Bourbon tube pressure gauge will be more suitable.

  (3) When the pressure is -100Kpa~2400Kpa, pressure vacuum gauge should be selected.

  (4) When the pressure is -100Kpa~0Kpa, vacuum pressure gauge should be selected.

3. Dilute nitrate acid, acetic acid and other general corrosive mediums, we should use stainless steel pressure gauge or stainless steel diaphragm pressure gauge.

4. Dilute hydroelectric acid, hydroelectric acid gas, heavy oil and similar medium with strong corrosion, solid particles, viscous liquid and so on mediums, we should use diaphragm pressure gauge or diaphragm seal pressure gauge. The diaphragm material must be selected according to the characteristics of the measuring medium.

5. Crystallization, scarring and high viscosity and other medium should use flange diaphragm pressure gauge.

6. In case of strong mechanical vibration, we should use shock resistance pressure gauge.

7. In flammable and explosive situations, such as when electrical contact signals are required, should choose explosion-proof pressure controller or explosion-proof electric contact pressure gauge.

8. For the measurement of high pressure, medium pressure or corrosive media pressure, should choose the over-pressure relief device pressure gauge.

9. Special pressure gauges should be used in the following medium of measurement:

(1)Ammonia, liquid ammonia: ammonia pressure meter, vacuum manometer, pressure vacuum gauge;

(2)Oxygen: oxygen pressure gauge; no oil oxygen pressure gauge;

(3)Hydrogen: hydrogen pressure gauge;

(4)Chlorine gas: chlorine resistant pressure gauge, pressure vacuum gauge;

(5)Acetylene: acetylene pressure meter;

(6)Hydrogen sulfide: sulfur resistant pressure gauge;

(7)Carbon dioxide: carbon dioxide pressure gauge.

10. The differential pressure gauge should be used when measuring the differential pressure.
